I wanted to create a series of images expressing femininity and masculinity via the opposite sex. For the women, they had to completely embody a man. A harsher light and grainy values complement their stoic expressions and nonchalant gestures. For the men however, they had to attempt to express feminine gestures while still maintaining their own masculinity. You look at these photos; each one presents different levels of masculinity and femininity â€"you see a woman, wearing a tie, slouching on a coach, then you see a Man displaying pearls, or heels combined with a typically masculine collared shirt or sweater. There’s already a connotation of cross dressing.
