Question by prissy_kitty: My four year old asked where babies come from?

When i was pregnant with my second daughter, my daughter asked a lot of questions. I told her how babies come out and that it takes a mommy nd daddy to make a baby. She then asked how babies got in mommys uterus and i told her when a man a woman got married they had a baby. She was ok with that answer for a while, but then she started asking how mommy and daddy made the baby. She asked this for a while and I finaly told her mommies and daddies have sex to make a babyy. Now she wants to know what sex is. What do i tell her? I told her its what we do but that wasnt good enough. What is an age appriate way to tell her? Im nt uncorfortable with thhe subject, i just want to know the best way to tell her that she can understand. Any ideas?
im not uncomfortable about telling her.
i tried to leave it at its something mommies and daddies do but it wasnt good enough.

she is very smart for her age.

you should probaly tell her it's a grown up thing and when she's "more grown up" she'll understand better. dont lie to her, but dont tell her details. she's only four right?
